Caserta is one of 103 provinces in Italy It is in the Region of Campania. I have not researched this area myself but have some info on relatives from Alife, Caserta and Capriata a Volturno, Caserta. I was assuming that the John Frabotta I am looking for might have been from someplace close to it. I don't have any Frabotta infor. If you can find a city, then any birth, marriage, death dates you can view the films at the Latter Day Saints centers that contain documents from those dates.I found some birth and marriage records from mid 1800s from Italy and made copies for myself. Go to the Latter Day Saints site, www.familysearch.org and start there. Good Luck.

Thanks for reply. I was going to look at a map tonight to find Caserta. My Grandparents were from Pofi, in Frosinone, but I don't know beyond that. Yes, I am aware of LDS having some of the best resources available. This is a new adventure for me. Growing up, my family were the only Frabottas in New England area...that has since changed and I see there are many throughout the US. I took my Dad to Italy and had been there before on my own, but never wrote things down...Thanks again. Where did your people settle in US?

My grandfather settled in Clev. Ohio with his wife and her parents in early 1900. But I have not had time to search him out. I have his wife's (my grandmother) info thanks to another relative's research. There are lots of Frabottas in Rionero Sannitico, Iserna, Molise. You can put that name in the white page search for that town. You may find something.

I see your posting is old, but I am replying anyway. My grandparents are also Frabotta's from Pofi, Italy. I live in southern New England, and have visited Pofi on three occasions but was never able to connect with Frabotta families there. I was told there are four different families there with that last name. On my grandmother's side, also from Pofi, are DeGrandis.
