Hello,

I am trying to trace the Fowler side of my family in South Carolina and I seem to have run into a block much like others with this family line.

Here is what I know:

Ellen Wright (1859-1935) from the Union, SC area married a Fowler. My grandparents and siblings said her husband was Jack Fowler.
Her parents were believed to be John Wright and Eliza Woolbright.

The US Census of 1880 shows C. Jackson Fowler (b. about 1856) married to Ellen Fowler and living in Union County, SC. The record lists 1 son, Arthur, age 1 yr.

My Ellen W. Fowler's children with "Jack" Fowler that are known for certain are:
Robert Smith Fowler (b. 1881)
Lonnie Fowler (b. 1883)
Eliza Fowler (1885-1964)
Anna Amberzine Fowler (my great-grandmother) (1880-1968)
Beulah Fowler (1892-1970)

The US Census of 1900 lists Ellen as head of household and a widow, so Jack Fowler apparently died sometime during the late 1890's.

Ellen Fowler married Lewis N. Bullocks (1865-1931) who already had the following children:
Clyde Bullocks
Josie Bullocks (b. 1896)
Lillian Pearlie Bullocks (1899-1949)
