My great-great grandfather was C. Jackson Fowler, b. 1856 in Union County, SC. He married Ellen Wright (1859-1935)

Ellen is listed as a widow as of the 1900 census.
I couldn't help notice your Coleman Fowler in your post - do you have any information on your Coleman's descendants? I cannot get past the roadblock of my C. Jackson "Jack" Fowler and would love to know if there's some relation to your Coleman and John Fowlers.
