FOSKEY DNA HAS BEEN TESTED

Posted: 24 Sep 2009 4:32PM GMT
Classification: Query
Surnames: Foskey
A male descendant of Durant Foskey (1812-1877, of Emanuel and Johnson Counties, Georgia, USA) has had his DNA tested. The male who was tested is a grandson of John Robert Foskey, who was the son of Emory Allen Foskey and the grandson of Durant Foskey. He had 67 markers done at www.dnaancestryproject.com powered by Genebase. The cost of this particular test is $269. The test is simple and painless to do and is explained at the website. Many Foskey researchers believe that another Emory (not Emory Allen) Foskey that settled in Pulaski County, Ga. and a Thomas Foskey that settled in Warren County, Ga. are brothers of Durant Foskey, or at least related. NOW IS OUR CHANCE TO FIND OUT! We invite any male descendants of Emory or Thomas Foskey to complete the test. If you do the test, any matches, including close matches would be sent to you at the site. I am a female descendant of Durant Foskey through John Robert Foskey. No one that I know of that is researching the Foskey line knows where Durant came from, and so we invite male Foskeys across the USA and the world to complete the DNA test as well. There are many Georgia Foskeys that would like to know their origin. Over 50 markers of this Foskey DNA have been attached to my Foskey family tree at ancestry.com. I also plan to post this message at other sites. Thanks. Jennifer C., amateur family genealogist
