EVERETT, Wash. - Ruby Altman Forde, 76, died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2000, at Providence Hospital in Everett, Wash.

Graveside service will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Everett.

She was born May 29, 1924, in Dubuque.

She loved to garden and to travel. After having lived in many parts of the United States, she made the Northwest her home since 1991. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Mill Creek. She was a devoted wife, mother, stepmother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her husband, Bill, of 24 years, of Everett; a son, Gary Altman and his wife, Karen, of Omaha, Neb.; a daughter, Susan Creamer of Wilton; a daughter, Cindy Hammond and her husband, Don, of Jonesborough, Ga.; a daughter, Virginia Williams and her husband, John of Rex, Ga.; a daughter, Kelly Betsworth and her husband, Brad of Evansville, Ind.; a daughter, Rebecca Gordy and her husband, Tim, of Kansas City, Kan.; a sister, Mary Lou Knepper of Olathe, Kan.; a brother, William Kennedy of Deland, Fla.; 20 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
