I am researching the siblings and ancestors of John Franklin Fobair. He was born on July 28, 1885 in Buchanan County and died on December 13, 1957 while in the hospital in Kansas City. He had three sisters named Mary, Elizabeth, and Sarah Nancy. Any information would be appreciated.

Hi there,

I assume, possibly incorrectly, that you are speaking of the state of MO?

I have a photo that simply states on the back that it is "Fobair and Family".

I know the oldest lady looks very much like my ggg-grandmother Cynthia Ann Cooper Mace. Others from MO state two of the girls look like Cooper sisters that married into the Mace family. However, no one is for sure.

Do you know what some of the family you are looking for looked like? I haven't found anyone that can tell me how they relate to my lines or why I have this photo.

It looks like it was taken in Livingston County or Linn County, MO possibly.

The photo is on my website at:

My email is:

Thanks in advance!

Rick,
I sent a message to Ruth and asked her to have Mom
take a look at the photo. Maybe there is somone she
will recognize. Good luck with the project of finding
others in our family.

I can not identify any of the women in the photo. However, my granfather's sister, Sarah Nancy Fobair, was married to William Charles Cooper. Do you know if he is related to Cynthia (Cooper) Mace?

Fobair kin?

Hi there,

I sent a copy of your message to the one contact I have regarding my Cooper line. She is very knowledgeable on the Cooper's. I couldn't tell from our past correspondence whether William and Cynthia were siblings or not.

I just thought that would explain why I have this photo that I can't ID. Since not even my grandmother new her or even ever met Cynthia Ann Cooper the photo haunts me. It is in wonderful shape and the ladies deserve for me to know whom they are. I want to make sure of why I have this photo.

I will let you know about the relationship if any.

Regards,

Natalie

Thanks for trying to ID

Richard and Family,

Thank you very much for the joint effort to try and ID that photo. I would assume that the oldest would be a Mrs. Fobair. I just don't know how it fits into my family. Who knows maybe it was taken in OK and were just church members of my gg-grandparents, Rev. J.V. Bowman's congregation.

Thanks again for the wonderful effort and time spent on that photo!

Regards,

Natalie
