Hi Diana,

Is Sarah the daughter of John Benjamin Foreman(b1791) married to Winifred Head, came to USA in 1850's from Margate, Kent England. If so I am is direct descendent. If this is corect do you have anymore info on his family in the USA. My lasst record of him was at his son William's wedding in 1843 in Margate. john.foreman@sky.com

Surnames: Foreman, Foat
I actually have two Sarah Foremans in my tree. The first is Sarah Foreman b. Aug 4, 1804, married to Daniel Stephen Foat, Sep 12, 1827. I have her parents as Thomas Foreman and Mercy Bax, but could be wrong on parentage. She and Daniel Foat came to United States from Margate in 1830s and settled in Wisconsin in late 1840s.
The other Sarah Ann Foreman was born to John Benjamin Foreman and Harriet Hughes in Margate, Kent County, Jan 3 1846. John came to Wisconsin I believe in 1850 after the death of Harriet.he came with his five children and settled in the same town as the other Foreman/Foat family. I always assumed the two Sarahs were related in some way but have no proof as I haven't been able to find John Benjamin's exact year of birth or to verify his parents.Census records in the US give an approximate year of birth of 1807 based on age given in the 1860 census. If you have any other information for this Foreman family I would be very interested in it.
