A funeral service celebrating the life of Betty F. Stockdale, 85, of
Hebron,
Licking county,
Ohio will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 26, 2009, in the chapel of the
Hoskinson Funeral Home, Kirkersville,
Ohio with burial to follow in Zanesville,
Ohio Memorial
Park.
Betty died suddenly Wednesday morning in
Columbus,
Ohio. She was born in Zanesville,
Muskingum county,
Ohio on Jan. 28, 1924, the daughter of the late Arthur B. and Bertha (
Heizer)
Fleming.
She was employed by ATT technologies in
Columbus for 24 years, retiring in 1986.
She is survived by her loving family: her husband, John, whom she married on Aug. 2, 1942; her children, Lynn (Larry)
Robinette, of Strongsville, Ohio; Beverly (Kevin)
Londergan, of
Houston,
Texas, John F. (Patsy), of Zanesville, Rebecca, of Hebron; her sister, Ida
Rae Leffler, of
Grove City, Ohio; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah K. Stockdale
Wheeler, in 1986; and her brothers, Bill and Kenneth
Fleming.
Her family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, 285 E. Main St., in Kirkersville, where an online video tribute and guest register is available at
