I am looking for information on 2 Eli Flemings. All I know is that one Eli Fleming was the son of James Fleming and Nancy Clawson Fleming and he moved from PA to Tennessee and married someone named Sallie(maiden name unknown) and they had two children this Eli was also in the Civil War. The second Eli Fleming was the son of William and Nancy Davis Fleming this Eli was born 8/22/1854 he moved to New Mexico and married a mexican girl but I don't know her name this Eli was the nephew of the first Eli and I know that the second Eli was killed in an explosion of a silver mine in New Mexico. If anyone has any info on these 2 Eli Fleming's I would really appreciate it.

Eli c. Fleming is buried in a small cemetery on New Herman Rd., Flat Creek, TN. His headstone is reads:

Capt. E.C. Fleming Co>Co. F
5th Tenn. Cavalry
(union)

No birth/death dates given.

There is documentation on the internet available regarding this unit. They were notoriously ill-disciplined and despised throughout middle Tennessee. They were all so-called union men and those originally from up north.
