Hello LJ Bisoux!

I am Mike Bozue of St. Louis, MO., and although I don't know anything about Flachs here, I am curious about your ancestry. I am a descendent of John Bozue, who's real name was Jean Furgence Bisoux. He moved to Coal City Illinois in the 1880's along with a brother named Adolph Bisoux. John's children attended Coal City Schools, and all came out of there with the last name Bozue. The birth certificates of John's children specify Bisoux, but his own tombstone says Bissoux (two s's), showing how confusing life can be for a non-english speaking Belgian who can't write. Anyway, I wonder about your tree. I am trying to nail down the spelling of my ancestor's last name, and don't know for sure whether Bisoux or Bissoux is correct. The fact he had a brother Adolph in Coal City, and that an Adolph Bisoux lived contemporary with him in Coal City leads mea to believe it is Bisoux. However, I'm searching for something definite. Do you know anything about the family of this Adolph Bisoux?

Sincerely,

Mike

Hi there. I just saw your post replying to my sister's post of long ago. I believe that Pauline Flachs Albertson is our grandmother's sister. I don't plan to pay to keep ancestry.com longer than another month, so I hope you are still checking this. If you are, my direct email is marilynmarshall@yahoo.com. Send me an email and we can exchange any information. THANK YOU!!
