Hi Jean,
Simon Flach and Katherine Scholl were my ancestors too. Their son Lawrence John Flach, then his son Ronald Simon Flach, then my dad Lawrence John Flach. My name is Polly Flach Lepic.

My sister, Linda, is searching this side of the family and has perhaps contacted you already. I am 59 and live in Iowa City, Iowa. My grandfather Ronald Simon (Shorty) hopped a train from N.Dakota and got off in Ft. Madison, Iowa where he ended up working for the railroad and marrying my grandmother, Hattie Cook.

my family is from Frankfort. As you see, the name has been Americanized to Flack over the years. Apparently, my great grandfather Ferdinand Flach's family was in the beer business.

Hi Polly! It's great to find another direct descendant of my great- grandparents, Simon & Katherine Flach. I am in contact with descendant's of Joseph, Amelia, John, Thresia, Katherine, Alois, and Clara Elizabeth. I also am in touch with some of your great granddad's (Lawrence) relatives from his marriage to Cecelia Stroh (your granddad's mom). I have not been in contact with Linda, but I wonder if she has been in contact with Wendy Corcoran?? I think I've seen some correspondence from "a relative in Iowa"! Anyway, I am very happy you contacted me. I would be interested in knowing your mom's name (so I can add you on my Tree:-) & am always begging for information and pictures of any kind. Please contact me at jacnet@daktel.com . I look forward to getting to know you!
Jean

PS - Phillip is off John Flach's (brother to Simon Flach Sr.) line. We all share a direct relationship with their father, Protasius Flach.
