The Wisconsin Historical Society recently loaded electronic versions of various old county histories in Wisconsin State. I ran across an article about Nathan Fisk in their book "Biographical History of La Crosse, Monroe and Juneau Counties, Wisconsin." Here is the link:

It starts at the bottom of the page citing a Nathan Fisk,and his brother Rueben (descendents of Rueben Fisk), They lived in Vermont, NY and Wisconsin. This is a detailed article with genealogical and historical information.
