History seems to have repeated itself with my great-grandmother. She was in living in Danville,Virginia when my grandmother was born and had to steal away in the night because she too, fell in love with a black man.She was married at the time to someone else, whose name noone seems to know, but will say that he was white.
everyone who could have solved this mystery is deceased now, so i've hit a brick wall with the story.
My grandmothers story gets more confused than that.
But should I find out any more information I will pass it on to you to see if you can use any of it.
