Hello, my name is Diane Curran Richard. My mother was Virginia Marie Finneran b. 1916 in Kansas City, MO. My grandmother was Ella Finneran b. 1889 in Boston, MA. My grandmother was a Finneran & she married a Finneran. My grandfather was William (Cletus) Finneran b. 1889 in Boston, MA. On my grandmothers side: father was Thomas J. b 1856 in Ireland, d 1917 in Boston, Ma. married to Annie M Lyons b 1858 (Watertown), MA. They had 7 children: Thomas A. b 1880, Fredrick P 1882-1915, Francis J B 1885, Ella P 1889-1976, Mary M 1892-1912, Annette (Paula) 1895-1969, Mabel b 1898.
My grandfather William C Finneran was the son of John P b 1865 in MA. & Alice T O'Brien 1866-1904 in MA.They also had a daughter, Alice b 1904.Alice O'Brien was the daughter of William O'Brien b abt 1842 & Bridget Grinham b 1843 of Roscommon, Ire. Bridget was daughter of Daniel Grinham & Hannah Donlon of Roscommon.
According to my grandmother, she & my mother returned to Boston before my mother was a year old. My grandfather did not accompany them & to my knowledge was never heard from again.
