Hello -

I am a direct descendant of the Finneran's of Golden Island in Athlone - my great granparents home is still there and my grandfather and his brother went back often to visit their grandparents. I have many stories about this - but have not been able to connect all of the names.

The most I know is that Patrick K Finneran (Born 1860) came to the USA and married. He had one brother John, and three sisters, Eleanor, Margaret and Elizabeth. Margaret came and stayed in the US - but I am not sure what happened to the other three.

Their parents were Mary Doolin and Patrick (born 18222). I THINK his father was Patrick (Married to Catherine Hughes - both born around the late 1700's.

Does anyone have any information? My great uncle (john Finneran is 87 and would love more information about his family. I would too. Thanks
