Just figured out the connection, I'm related to you through Johns' first wifes family. My 2x greatgrandmother Mary was your great granfathers older step sister.
Her mother Ann Mills died shortly after she was born and as far as I know she was sent to live with her Uncle and Aunt for awhile. I don't really know much about the Gordons, and have no pictures or stories. I would be very appreciative of anything you might have??
