My maternal grandfathers name was Phillip Fialkowski and his fathers name was Michael. They were from Pennsylvania and moved to the Chicago area at the turn of the century.. From where they were before that< I do not know. Maybe you can help me. My mom doesnt seem to remember if Michael had any brothers or sisters. But Michael's childrens' names are John (married Rose), Tony (married Helen), Phillip (married Mary) and Sophie married a man by the last name of Wolfe.. . Phillip had 4 children but only 2 are still alive. Diane (watson) in Florida and Phyllis (Anderson) in Nevada. Elizebeth and Robert have passed on. I am trying to put together a family history for my children. I hope to get some information from anyone who can provide it. I may also be interested in getting the family crest. I read almost all of these messages and I found them very interesting. Please respond. Thanks!

Hi Tammy,
Just saw your messages about your ancestors. I have found out that my Grandfather Frank Fialkowski was living in Beaver Falls, Pa. in 1924. On 2nd Ave. He was born in Plotsk, Poland (town of Novaviesch) that is how they spelled it. He was born in 1877. On this paperwork which his only daughter has is that he came over from Rotterdam on the vessel Lena. Can't seem to trace that ship but am still trying. Don't know yet of his siblings, but keep in touch & maybe we can find something out.
Cheers, Peggy Ann (Fialkowski) Holland

Hi, hopefully you are still checking this for replies. My grandfather's name was Michael Fialkowski & he lived in Chicago. He died in 1915, shortly after my father was born. He was my grandmother's (mary) 2nd husband & they were only married for a short time before his death so we don't know too much about him but suspect he had another family before he married my grandmother. We have looked for information about him but since my father was just an infant when he died & has since passed we have not been too successful. There are many Fialkowski's in this area but we don't if we're related!

If it is the same Michael we are talking about, he was married to a?? May Mohlner?? or maybe it was mary... i have to check with my mother tomorrow and post again. I'm not sure if we are related. What is your father's name? did he have any broher's or sisters? Maybe he is one of my mother's great uncles... ????
