Surnames: Fewell
I married into the Fewell Family and also am working on the branch from Northern VA area. Curry W. Fewell was the son of Benjamin and Nancie Fewell. Born in Fauquier, VA around 1877. I am looking for information on this branch. Can anyone help? I have a few census's from Shirley, Jr to Benjamin Fewell. Please email me at xshyone1@aol.com if you can help me with a bit more info. Thank you
Debbie

Planning a visit to VA to trace Fewell ancestry. Do you have any suggestions or areas to go? Our line is from Culpepper County and King George County VA. Thanks!

Your best bet is to start in Culpeper at the county office building and then the library. I don't know where you are coming from but I can tell you that the main highway in Culpeper will be Route 29 North. Where the library is I don't know.

Hi Andrea,

I am wondering if you have Curry Fewell in your line? If so please email me at xshyone1@aol.com

I am still working on the Fewell side of the family tree and I can go as far as Benjamin. If you have anything you would like to share with me that will be great.

Thanks
Debbie

I am descended from Zachariah Fewell (James's brother).
Yes, I have a very large Fewell file. Can you give me your e-mail address, so I can send you the .pdf file?

Thank you very much. I would love to have that information. lamizich@hotmail.com is my email address. We live in Illinios, and last summer took a trip to Jefferson City, the capitol of Missouri. I remember reading Zachariah Fewell was one of the first state representatives, post masters, and I think judge in Missouri. He was a remarkable and accomplished person.

Hello

I married into the Fewell family in Rappahannock and Culpeper county Virginia. I am very intrigued by what you guys have found out already. There are two sets of Fewell's in Northern VA. However, I do not believe they are closely related. My side of the family lives in the Fauquier, Culpeper, and Rappahannock area's. The other Fewell's in VA live in The Plains (i believe) which is about 40 minutes away from where I am located now. My husband says none of his family has ever met them and don't believe to be related to them. But, I think if you have the same last name you would have to be related somehow right? hahaha. Anyway, I would be very interested to see what you guys have found!!
