Florence Marcella Dahl Fetterly
Florence Marcella Dahl FETTERLY Passed away at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton, Washington on the morning of March 13, 2008 at 89 years of age. She was born to Florence Beaulieu and Elmer Dahl on November 25, 1918 in Seattle, Washington. A 1937 graduate of Lincoln High School in Seattle, she then attended the University of Washington earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering in 1941 and a Master of Science Degree in those disciplines in 1942. She married Lloyd C. Fetterly of Seattle, Washington who predeceased her on March 13, 1972. She is survived by three sons, Lloyd P. Fetterly (Patricia) of Tacoma, Washington, Roy C. Fetterly (JoAnn) of Seattle, Washington, and Kevin E. Fetterly (Martha Rogers) of Bainbridge Island, Washington. She is also survived by two grandchildren, John Lloyd Fetterly of Laurel, Maryland and Katie E. Fetterly of Lake Stevens, Washington. In addition she is survived by many nieces and nephews, each of whom was very dear to her. Marcella was a loving mother, grandmother and aunt and a loyal friend. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. The family wishes to express its thanks to the staff of Martha and Mary Care Center, Poulsbo, Washington, and Messenger House, Bainbridge Island, Washington, who provided expert and compassionate care to Marcella in her final days. A Memorial Service will be held at the Port Madison Lutheran Church, 14000 Avenue NE, Bainbridge Island, Washington 98110, at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday April 19, 2008. Memorials to the Humane Society, PAWs of other animal welfare society would be consistent with her wishes.
