My grandmother's name was Lottie Fernekees and her sisters were Hattie, Annie, Elizabeth etc.They are from Mauch Chunk PA, or Jim Thorpe PA, same place different name. I have been working on both sides of my family tree for over ten years and still have a lot of information to gather about both the Loomis/Fernekees/Hummel and the McLaughlin/Russell families. My wife and I visited Jim Thorpe several years ago and went to the Evergreen cemetery and found my grandmother's stone and many others of the Fernekees Hummel family.
