I have no connection to this family. This is from the October 31, 1850 issue of the Lime Rock Gazette (Rockland, Maine):

"ACCIDENT. Capt. Jona. Ferguson, of Belfast, skipper of sch. Gen. Mariou, of Cohassset, while attempting to board his vessel, which lay outside of another at Phillip's wharf, lost his hold, and fell between the vessel and the wharf, beaking his leg just above the ankle." (Boston Journal)"
