AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Prayers will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church in Austintown for Nina A. Marsilio, 76, who passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Health Center.

Nina was born April 14, 1936, in Bugnara L’Aquila, Italy, a daughter of the late Oddino and Josephine (DiFiore) Felice.

She grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and graduated from St. Paul’s Cathedral. She came to the Youngstown area when she married in 1957. Nina was a member of St. Joseph Church and their choir for many years.
She was also a founding member of St. Joseph Ladies Guild. Nina enjoyed her time with her quilting friends and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates fan.

Her husband, Emilio L. Marsilio, whom she married Sept. 7, 1957, passed away Oct. 28, 2008.

Nina leaves her two daughters, Amy A. Marsilio and Jo Marie Marsilio, both of Austintown, Ohio; her son, Jerry (Mary) Marsilio of Chicago; a granddaughter, Angela (Zack) Cain of Texas; and a great-granddaughter Kayla Cain of Texas.

Nina was also preceded in death by a brother, Daniel Felice.

Family and friends may call Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery.
