My GG grandfather who came from Hannover was "Johann Friedrich HEINS b.1854". He was one of 8 children. His parents were Johann HEINS and Anna Katharina HOOPS.

I Do have some people from Hanover, as my mother's paternal side is German. If only I could get bast the 18th c. Hubby and I go to Germany on business sometimes-- maybe it should be a project to look up this Claus character...

After replying to you moments ago, i took a look at the photo's you have on ancestry and i noticed that you have the name of HEINS on one of those.....

My family name is HEINS. My family originate from Brüttendorf, Kingdom of Hannover.

Perhaps we have a connection there?

Thank you for repling. Do you and your family live in England now?
Are you researching your family tree?
When Henrick Fedde married into my family in June 1861, he was married in Bristol, England to Emma Groves.
They had a daughter in 1869, Two years later his wife remarried due to his death...
It stated on Henrick's marriage certificate that he was a ships carpenter.
It would be nice to hear back from you.

I am married to a Fedde and from what i know of the family they are from Norway, my husbands family settled in England,the forst one was named Bernard Fedde

I am looking for the names of my ggrandfather Elisha Fedd's mother and father. The only information I have on him is that he was born May 1874 in Texas and was married to Mary "Bruin" Maxey. It appears that he lived for a long time in Caddo Parish, Louisiana. He and Bruin are buried in Bivins, Texas. I only have some really scanty census info on him otherwise. Any help would be appreciated.

Henrick Fedde was born about 1834. He married Emma Groves in England in 1861. His occupation, it is stated, at the time was that of ships carpenter also it states that his fathers name is John..... could be Johann
By 1871 Emma was a widow and was about to remarry, what happened to Henrick (Henry) Fedde?
I beleive that the name Fedde is German

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
