Some Featherly's followed the Great Lakes around westwardly, marrying into families with Native American bloodlines. At this time, am primarily interested in the NY bloodline. Have lost citation credit for the following quote: "John Featherly, along with brother-in-law William Stansell, and Nicholas Stansell families moved from the Mohawk Valley region of NY state. They were the pioneers of the Lyons region, for a total of twelve persons in all. They built log huts. He sold his farm to Daniel Westfall and moved to Rose, where he died in 1843".
