YOUNGSTOWN - Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 25, 2014, at the L. E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home for Wilma Feagins, 77, who entered eternal rest on Sunday, July 20, 2014, at St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown, Ohio.
Ms. Feagins, affectionately known as “Aundie” by her nieces and nephews, was born Dec. 22, 1936, in Youngstown, Ohio (Mahoning County) a daughter of Frank and Willie Mae Barton Feagins.
She was a 1954 graduate of North High School and attended Youngstown State University with her daughter when she enrolled.
She had been employed with St. Elizabeth Hospital and General Motors Lordstown.
A loving homemaker, Wilma enjoyed jazz music, baking, traveling, and attending church at the Oak Missionary Baptist Church with her daughter.
She was best known for making her famous vanilla ice cream.
She was of the Methodist faith.
Wilma was a faithful and diligent caregiver for her mother, until her passing in 1999.
She leaves to forever cherish her memory, her daughter, Noele C. Feagins, who cared for her with love and compassion during her illness; a sister, Melissa M. Smith, both of Youngstown, OH; a granddaughter, Nasya Stevenson of Boardman, Ohio; and a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Ronald E. and Bruce Feagins. Friends may call one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
