Adelaide E. Bent Fazio
Adelaide E. Bent Fazio, age 97, of Erie, died at her daughter’s residence exactly 30 years, to the date, after her husband, Victor Fazio, on Wednesday, March 19, 2008.
She was born in Erie on April 15, 1910
a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Demell Bent.
Early in her life, she worked for the Boston Store and volunteered at the Shriner’s Hospital for Children. She was a member of St. Andrews church, their Rosary Society and the School’s PTA. Over the years, she was a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader. She was a member of the Over 50 Women’s Group and the Parent’s Association at Villa High School. She was an Associate Member of the Sisters of Saint Joseph and a member of the Gannon Guild. Besides her husband,
she was preceded in death by a brother, Anthony Bent and three sisters, Marie Nunes,
Beatrice Devine
and Rose Sorze.
She is survived by a daughter, Marie Stark and her husband Atty. Norman Stark of Erie,
five grandchildren, Stephanie Stark Tedesco of Wesley Chapel, Fla., Atty. Norman “Buddy” Stark and his wife Beata of Erie, Christine Stark Grubb and her husband Steven of Jacksonville, Ore., Cynthia Stark Spirit of Edinboro and Dr. Brian Stark and his wife Dr. Kate Stark of Erie.
20 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Friends may call on Monday at the Francis V. Kloecker Funeral Home, Inc. 2502 Sassafras St. Erie, Pa. 16502 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. and are invited to the Funeral Mass on Tuesday morning at St. Andrew Church at 10 a.m. Send condolences to www.kloeckerfuneralhome.com Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
