Greetings from a third cousin once removed. I see that your message is 4 years old, but still has no replies. I found your message while doing my own search for Charlotte
Fay. Found her quickly with a simple Google search. If you already have the following information, I apologize.
Charlotte was the daughter of Nathan (1785-1873), son of Thos. (1751-1837), son of Ebenezer (1713-1790),son of Samuel (1673-1732). The Fays appear at length in a genealogy of the Orlin family.
In addition to Charlotte Ann
Foster, Charlotte
Fay had three sons. One was Joseph Milton
Foster, my great-grandfather. Another was
Elgin, who curiously married Charlotte Fay's cousin Percena (spelled Parcena in the Orlin work)
I knew Charlotte Ann married a
Conkey, but that's all I found in the
Foster Genealogy by
Fredrick Clifton
Pierce, which takes us back past the
Conqueror. Interestingly, the book was printed by the
Conkey Press, Chicago, in 1899. Any connection?
I have traced Charlotte Ann's stepmother Julia
Gay Foster back the the 1630's but I haven't found any blood link to Louis
Reed Foster. It wouldn't surprise me if there were one.
Hope this helps, and I'm glad to put Mr. Conkey's name on our tree.
