born in New Haven Conn,. Oct. 23, 1830, son of Thomas Cushing and Hannah E (Hunt) Faxon, m. May 9, 1861, Martha Elizabeth Cuff, daughter of William and Rachel Cuff of New York City (from Bristol, England). He is a merchant and resides in New York.
