I I personally viewed the baptismal records at the rectory of St. Patrick's Church in Killashee, Co. Longford, Ireland. Patrick Farrell married Ann Donlin. Their children: John Farrell, b. April 11, 1830, Lawrence b. 1832, Matthew, b. Nov 2, 1837 and Patrick b. Dec. 27, 1840.

John Farrell married Margaret E. Spearman on May 2, 1855 in Killashee. Their children were: Thomas Farrell (#1), baptized in Killashee January 22, 1856 died Jan 13 1872 in Brooklyn; Annie baptized abt. 1857 Killashee, died July 28, 1923 in NY; Mary baptized May 29, 1859 Killashee, and John F. baptized Feb. 21, 1861 Killashee, died Nov. 17, 1910 in Brooklyn. WILLIAM H. born abt.1862 (place unknown), died June 13, 1924 in Brooklyn.

The remaining children were born and died in Brooklyn, NY, USA: Lawrence born Aug. 1864 died June 15, 1908; Patrick H., born Feb. 1866 died March 24, 1904; Mamie (#2) about 1868 died Feb 29, 1940; Margaret born Dec. 16, 1869 died July 20, 1870; Thomas (#2) born about 1872 died Aug 05, 1939; James born about 1875 died Mar 14 1893; Joseph A. born Apr 23, 1876 died Nov 26 1935; Frank born May 8, 1877 died Nov 25, 1944.

My dilemma: WILLIAM H. FARRELL born abt 1862 was not recorded in Killashee's baptismal books. We don't know when or where he was born. Possibly in another county while awaiting the family emigration to the US. We cannot find the ship that his parents John Farrell and Margaret Spearman Farrell came over on with their children Thomas, Annie, Mary, John and the baby William. Our oldest living family resource is sure William was an infant when he arrived.

Any one out there have baptismal records other than Killashee or ship records for 1861, 62 or early 63 to locate where William was born or baptised and when that family came over on what ship?
