im writing in hopes someone maybe able to help me find out if im related to robert b. fairbairn.my relations traveled back and forth from scotland the us windsor and all over .i know that robert was born in new york city on may 27 1818. he was president ofst.stephens college.and after training im mechanics school he entered a bookstorein franklin square in 1834
.he entered the ministry of episcopal churchre was ordained deacon in 1843and entered christ church in troy ny.i know he wrote many books. and was 1 of 60 persons to recieve a doctors degree by columbia college at its centennial anniversary in 1887.if anyone knows his line of fairbairns could you please let me know as i know just about every thing about the gentleman. but cant find if he is from my line of fairbairns. any help would be appreciated thank you carroll fairbairn.

is a link to Robert Brinckerhoff FAIRBAIRN's father.
As far as my research currently can figure out, there isn't any immediate match to your George Milne FAIRBAIRN etc.
But, as the dna project is beginning to show, most of the farming Borders FAIRBAIRNs seem to be distantly related anyway, and however flawed his grandson's bio is genealogically speaking, it certainly leads back to Sprouston, and St Boswells, ROX.
