I'm looking for any kind of information
regarding a Sally of the Shoshone who married
a French trapper, Baptiste Exervia/Exervid
in about 1824. They lived in Ft. Laramie,
Wyoming and had one daughter named Adelaide.
(She married James Morehead Brown of Ogden,
Utah in 1855.) Baptiste died in Wyoming in
1842. Sally then married Barney Ward, a
famous trapper and mountain man. They moved
to Utah in 1847 and joined the LDS church.
There were two daughters from this marriage:
Polly and Louisa. If you have ANY info.
please email me (rec24@email.byu.edu). I am
specifically looking for stories about this
family and their descendents. Thanks. :)

There are a couple biographies about Sally, Adelaide, etc., and information about Exervia/Exervid, as well, as James Morehouse Brown at:

http://www.orsonprattbrown.com/CJB/1834-1924-James-Morehead/... and at http://www.orsonprattbrown.com/CJB/1834-1924-James-Morehead/... .
Hope this helps. If you have anything new to add please contact me to share your information.
