Re: 1881 CENSUS LOOKUP PLEASE
Try the "family search" site. They have the 1881 census on line. I had a little peek and spotted a James Exell born in 1855, Bristol. Maybe he is your James. Good Luck

Re: 1881 CENSUS LOOKUP PLEASE
Jayne, You're welcome. Wish I had of seen your post earlier. Just curious, Was your James the one born in 1855 and was his wife named Annie. Was just wondering for no real reason except that after a quick look, he was the only one I saw with Bristol as his birth place. Regards, Adrienne

Re: 1881 CENSUS LOOKUP PLEASE
Is your James son of George and Mary, born about 1867 Bristol, brother to William, Clara, and Robert Henry? If so, he is in my tree. The spelling is Excell. I have him in 1871 Bristol, 1901 Leicester but cant find him anywhere else. Brother Robert Henry was in Yorkshire in 1911 and there is a James in Yorkshire at that time but I canot verify yet that it is him. That any help?
