Hi Doreen,I think we must have a connection somewhere.I was doing a bit of research on behalf of my Uncle, Mr Rex Ewins,who has traced back as far as George Ewins, who as I stated,is buried behind the church porch at Pinvin.There I'm afraid he's got stuck at the moment and can not connect with the family tree that Prof. Hewins produced, which dates back to the Norman Conquest,and the first Ewins mentioned in that had his surname spelt 'IUUEIN'.
I do know that George Ewins was a farmer and market gardener and that his daughter Catherine Ewins kept the off licence come shop in the village. If you would like to give me a ring I will gladly talk.
