Does anyone have any information that could lead to who the parents or any relatives of Martha Ewing might have been? She and her husband had 7 children. One of her children's births William Ewing Wilson was 1790. She had several children before his birth, so I am figuring her to be born around 1760 to 1765. But once again, I am guessing. Local history on the Wilson family which she married into, states that she was an orphan of Welsh descent, and that she lived east of the mountains. So I am not sure where east of the mountains they are referencing. Possibly eastern PA but it could be NJ, VA, or MD., it would be a guess. She was married to Robert Wilson here in America. Robert came from County Antrim, Ireland along with his brother Thomas in the late 1700's. After Martha Ewing and Robert Wilson were married they moved and settled in Washington Co. PA where they lived and died. They had 7 children here in Washington Co. PA. I wish I had more regarding Martha, but I do not. If anyone's ancestoral history has a mention of Ewing members dying and leaving children that carried the Ewing name. Possibly after arriving in America, but maybe during their voyage over, sometime around that time period, and it looks as though it may tie into my Martha, please get in touch with me. It is all guess work right now. As of now, I do not know where to go to get further back. Thank you so much. Hope to hear from someone out there. Rebecca.
