Hi LaDona

Findagrave shows Benjamin M. and Margaret S. WILSON buried in Rosehill Cemetery, Mechanicsville, Cedar Co. Iowa and gives their birth and death dates:
Benjamin - 22 Apr 1816 - 18 Aug 1898
Margaret - 19 Jan 1819 - 19 Apr 1909

The History of Cedar County states on page 692 "WILSON, B. M., farmer, Sec. 30; P.O. Tipton; born in Pennsylvania in 1816 and came to this county in 1855. he owns 167 1/2 acres of land. Has held offices of Justice of the Peace, Town Trustee and Secretary of School Board. He married Miss Margaret S. WALLACE [my caps] in 1838; she was born in Pennsylvania; has nine children - Nancy C., Mary E., William T., Arabella R., James S., John M., Cynthia J., Emma E., Otis E., lost one daughter-Sarah J.

It would seem to me that Benjamin's wife Margaret was a WALLACE, not a EWING, reinforced by the fact that the book states "Miss" Wallace. Did she remarry after Benjamin's death in 1898 to a EWING?

A quick search of a few of their children's online marriage or death records show that the father is Benjamin M. WILSON and the mother is Margaret WALLACE
- William T. WILSON
- Rebecca A. MONROE
- Emma E. WILSON

Since it is usually best to work backwards in time with census data from latest to earliest, I see the following:

Nancy, 10, b. ~1840 PA
Mary E., 7, b. ~1843 PA
Wm. T., 4, b. ~1846 PA
Emeline, 0, b. ~1850 PA [not seen on later censuses, so could have died, could be an extended family member or could be Rebecca A. due to similar birth date]
Isabella SHADE, 15, b. ~1835 PA [could be a family member or hired maid]
Note: David COLLINS, 70, weaver, b. ~1780 IRE [living alone the next line down, possibly related]

1840 - Tyrone, Perry, PA
Benjamin M. WILSON, head, 7 people in household [would be ~25 years old]
Males: 20-29: 4
Females: 60-69: 1, 20-29: 1, 15-19: 1
This indicates to me that Benjamin and Margaret are probably very newly married since there is one female of the right age, it is 1840 and first child Nancy C., is not yet born. The older female is possibly the mother of Benjamin or Margaret.
WILSON heads of families in Perry Co.
-Hugh (Tyrone), Joseph (Tyrone), David (Juniata), John (Juniata), Gabriel (Carroll)

1830 - Tyrone, Perry, PA
[Benjamin does not appear - would be ~15 years old, Margaret would be ~12]
WILSON heads of families in Perry Co.
-Hugh (Tyrone), Joseph (Tyrone), Margaret (Tyrone), Joseph (Wheatfield), William (New Bloomfield), William (Juniata)
WALLACE heads of families in Perry Co. with a daughter 10-14 years old
-John (Rye), Samuel (Wheatfield),

Note that Tyrone is well isolated (about 2 hrs by car) from these other locations in Perry County.

Given that Pennsylvania mostly did not keep vital records until much later, you may want to order death certificates for Benjamin & Margaret. Usually by this time, death certificates listed parents' names of the deceased. You can order death certificates for Iowa using the following link:

HTH. Happy searching.
