Rose Ewin (nee Cardoza)

Does anyone know anything about this lady? She married in 1927, had a daughter, then left her husband and daughter and was not seen by them again. It appears she had a son in 1948 who did not have a name on his Birth Certificate, just the surname Ewin, so presumably he was adopted. It appears she lived in Fletcher Building, Crown Court, Drury Lane, WC2 prior to her death on 15th September 1989 at Athlone House, Camden.

Ewin - Boy - Born 31st July 1948

I am looking for information regarding this child who was born at the London Hospital. His mother's name was given as Rose Ewin, aka Beatrice Rose Ewin, (maiden name Cardoza) living in Bethnal Green. The forename was left blank and we have made the assumption that this was because the child was to be adopted.

Any information would be very helpful.

Hi Sally, unfortunately, my family tree is only fully available on genesreunited.co.uk.
However, I will try and piece the Ewin side of it for you together. I never managed to get the time to do the wider work with a lot of commitments. However, one day.

I will have a look at what I have and get back to you.
Best Wishes
Duncan

I have just started putting together a Ewin tree for my partner, William Anthony Ewin, born 10th September 1948 to Ernest George and Alice Bertha (nee Edwards) in Homerton, Hackney. I have gathered a fair amount of information and will allow you to view my tree if you send me your email. Please will you allow me access to your tree in order that we can compare notes.

sallychambers@aol.com

Ewin families in London and the surrounding counties

I will shortly be starting some work to try and tie together Ewin census, IGI and other information for the 19th and 18th centuries for the areas in and around London, so as to understand the various Ewin families and get some idea as to their origins.

I would welcome any help or information.
