Looking for information about Thomas Ewart who married Annie Hodgins October 29th 1884 in the district of Fermanagh (Northern Ireland)

I cannot help you with your question, as my Ewarts left County Fermanagh to come to the U.S. in 1823. However, I am interested in the Ewarts who remained in Fermanagh, and your Thomas' family may have been among those who stayed. Any information you have about the Fermanagh Ewarts would be appreciated. My Ewarts' home in Northern Ireland was reportedly nine miles northeast of Enniskillen and two miles northeast of Tempo. My Ewarts who cam from Fermanagh were Robert & Ann (Hogg) and their six children, Thomas, Robert, John, Jane, Elizabeth, and Ann.

I don't know if there is any connection. My father's grandfather's father was Thomas Ewart (born in Ireland) son of Thomas Ewart. He married an Annie Jane Hodgins (Hodgens) Oct. 29, 1884 in District of Fermanagh, Town of Enniskillen, Ireland. His residence was Drumcalgy Letevrbreen. They had a child Johnston Ewart, born Mar. 23, 1886. Their residence at that time was the Village of Tattenamona (District of Florencecourt Enniskillen). Please let me know if you find a connection.

Hi. My Grandfather's name was Thomas Edward Ewart and he was born in Ireland. His father was Samuel Ewart married to Annie Mcneally. I could be wrong on the spelling of Samuel. Also in my geneology is the name Falloon. My grandpa and great grandp were from Belfast area. Please let me know if you think there's any connection here. That's as far back as we know about our family.

Thomas, My Great Grandfather was also Samuel, so please tell me where you are and to where your forbear settled ..and any other information that you might have...
I was born in Brisbane Australia and now live on the Sunshine Coast.

I am not sure if there is a connection. My husband's grandfather's name was Thomas Ewart and his wife's name was Annie. My husband's father's name was Johnston Hodgins Ewart born Mar. 23, 1886 in District of Fermanagh Enniskillen, Ireland. I don't know if there were any other children. In the documents I have sometimes the name is Ewart Hodgins and other times it is Hodgins Ewart. Three of Johnston's children were born in Belfast.

My grandfather, Thomas Samuel Ewart, was the grandson of Joseph Ewart who settled in Akron Ohio (then known as Springfield). He had supposedly come from Londonderry IR and was related to other Ewart immigrants, perhaps Ralph Ewart for one. Supposedly two Ewarts migrated to the US in themed to late 1700s. I am having difficulty tying the first Ewarts together.

There has to be some connection. My grandfather, Thomas Samuel Ewart, was the great grandson of Joseph Ewart who supposedly came from Londonderry, IRE, to the PA, then OH, in the 1700s. Joseph claimed to be related to two other Ewarts who came to America around the same time. I am having trouble making the connection to possibly a Ralph or a Robert Ewart. Some made it as far as Akron, OH. I connect those other than the Akron group and those who went on to MO. .

Leigh,
Did I respond to your question? It looks like I did, but if not, please let me know. My mother was a Ewart. I can tell you from whom I am descended if you don't have that piece of the puzzle. I live north of San Francisco, CA, but grew up in Northeastern Ohio, USA, and was born in Kansas City, MO, USA.

jjrosselle,
I am a cousin of your's (distantly). I am Brody James Ewart, the son of James Scott Ewart, born to James (Jim) Ewart, son of Everett Ewart. I found your post very helpful. Was curious if you could trace the Ewart's from Williamstown all the way back to Josiah?
Also curious, you mentioned Thomas from Ireland my family always said Scotch Irish but had us pegged to be from Galloway or southern Scotland. Interesting ..,
