Beulah Ewan - William Wilcox
Anyone have a Beulah Ewan b. ca 1804, probably in NY, m. ca 1820 to William Wilcox? I believe she had a brother named Charles b. ca 1811 also in NY. In the 1850 census they are both listed in Jennings Co, IN.

I have a Beulah Ewan b.1793, Northampton Twp, Burlington Co., NJ. She is the youngest daughter of Absolam(Jr) and Keziah Gaskill Ewan. She has a brother Charles b. Dec. 28, 1791 same location. He died in 1861. I do know that many of the Ewan families move to Jennings Co, IN and some on to Watseka,IL. I too am researching the Ewan family. We come from the William Randolph Ewan line b. Oct 3,1822 in Whittaker Fork, Dearborn Co., IN but are having trouble finding parents for him. If you can help please contact me.

Did you find the parents of Charles EWAN who lived 1850 Spencer Twp., Jennings Co., IN??? In his household is a Joseph EWAN age 7 [b. ca 1843] I believe he is the Joseph EWAN who gave depostion in 1904 for widow of Levi BANFILL [b. Jennings Co] Civil War Pension. Re: William Ewan of Dearborn Co. IN
I have a William Ewan who married 7-25-1841 in Dearborn Co. IN to Tamanda P. Sedwick (according to the Indiana state marriage index). I believe, but cannot yet prove, that William Ewan was the son of Samuel and Mary (Sprague) Ewan. before her marriage to Samuel in 1806 in Onatario NY, Mercy was married to William Hawley.

William Randolph Ewan is the son of Joseph A. Ewan and Sarah Whitcomb. He married a Fanny Spencer. It is also possible that he married a Sarah Unknown or this just could be a name that Fanny went by. I have no descendants of his however there is a Census record that looks like it could be him. It lists Harrison age 18, Samuel age 17 and Edwin age 10 in the 1870 Census as his boys. It lists a Sarah age 47 as his wife. Maybe it was his second wife or just the middle name of Fanny Spencer. Regardless William Randolph Ewan was the eldest born 10-03-1822 in Whittaker Fork, Dearborn, Indiana and died 01-21-1873. He is buried in the old cemetery in Morrocco, Newton, Indiana according to another Ewan researcher Ted Nairnn Jr. He also has a photograph of it. He has other postings on Ewans as well. The two of us are currently searching for the link between his great-grandfather William Wylie Ewan and Joseph and Sarah Ewan. We are almost positive that Joseph is William Wylie's grandfather. The only question is if it is through William Randolph Ewan or his brother Samuel Ewan. There is an outside chance that the younger brother Charles Ewan as well may be the father.
Could you help us and list the descendants of William Randolph Ewan? All information you have on him would be greatly appreciated.
