My name is David Ewalt Farmer, and I am related. My grand parents lived in Springdale Arkansas, and I have heard about Joe Sam and Clara. I believe when young I actually met Clara. They lived in the same area as my grand parents. They always spoke of Aunt Clara and also the Diffenbackers. My grand mother was Naomi Ewalt married to Walter Farmer and they lived in Arkansas until they died int he 80's. My father was named after Joseph Samuel Ewalt and went by Joe Sam. He has died also, but I was the only son to carry on the Ewalt name. Hope this helps.
