Michael Evanisko Expires Suddenly
Michael Evanisko, 57, of 390 Daniel St., well-known Lower Cambria craneman, suffered a heart attack and died at 9:45 p.m. yesterday in the kitchen of his home. Deputy Coroner Andrew Stropko stated the Oakhurst man fell to the floor dead upon being stricken.
Mr. Evanisko was an employe of the electric department and a craneman in Bethlehem Steel Company's Lower Cambria Plant. He was a member of Christ the Savior Russian Orthodox church.
Surviving are his widow, Mary (Gritzar) Evanisko, and six children--Mrs. Mary Koval, 390 Daniel St.; Mrs. Margaret Grening and Pauline, both of Oil City; Joseph and Daniel, both at home, and Philip, Jersey City, N.J. He also leaves seven grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. John Hobar, 234 Fairfield Ave., and two brothers--George Evanisko, 182 Elsie St., and Thomas, 207 Wilson St. Two sisters and a brother preceded him in death.
Friends will be received after 5 p.m. today at the residence. Services will be held at 9 a.m. Friday at Christ the Savior Church by Rev. John J. Miller. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery under the direction of the Moskal Funeral Home.
