I am looking for information on the family of Samuel Etzwwler and his wife Lydia Cormany/Cormaney Etzwiler.
In 1870 census, Lydia Cormany is living with her grandparents, J. and Caterine Bridenstein (Britenstein?) in Franklin, Summit County, Ohio.
In 1880 census, she is with her husband Samuel, and two daughters: Mary E. and Emma J. She is listed as Lidda and I think her age is 29, which works for Lydia Cormany who was born 2 Oct 1851 in Akron, Summit Co., Ohio.
In 1900 census, Samuel and Lydia are in Green, Ashland Co. with three sons, John, William and Charley. Samuel's birth date is listed as August 1853 and Lydia's as October 1851. They've been married 26 years, which puts their marriage date at about 1874, which works with the age of the girls at 1877 and 1879.
In the 1910 census, they are still in Green, Ashland Co., and William A. and Charles E. are still residing with them.
The 1920 finds Samuel and "Lizzie" (sic) still in Green. Her date still seems to work as well as the Ohio birth place, as do Samuels.
I don't find them on the 1930 census. Family genealogy has Lydia's death date as about 1931. I may need to search for other spellings for Lydia.
Any information you may have on either Lydia and/or Samuel will be appreciated. I'd like to work backwards on Samuel, however, I haven't been able to tie him to a line. His death date and place would be extremely helpful, as well as Lydia's.
Thanks. Jane Meisenhelter Griffin
