I am looking for information on George Stephen League, married to Catherine Etherton. My Great, Great Grandfather and Great, Great Grandmother. They were married in Green County, Kentucky June 8, 1835/with David Etherton as a witness. George League was born in Virginia and his father may be Thomas League.
Stories, George may have been an orphan, possibly adopted by relatives. Catherine and George may have adopted a little boy, and George was a Methodist Lay Minister. Children were: Nancy Jane b. 1836, Stephen R. b. 1838, David K. b. 1840, William M. b. 1942, Reuben M. b. 1844 (my grandfather), George G., Mary E. b. 1849 or 1850, Thomas Greenbury b. 1947, Sarah A. b. 1953.
