I've finally gotten back on Ancestry.com after about 12 years off! I've uploaded the Ethell family tree (as much as I have of it right now), going back to the first Thomas Ethell who came over with Gov. William Berkley in 1646. The tree is public, so feel free to stop by if you need more information on Ethell ancestors. Just so you know, Thomas "the foundling" Ethell, is not related to this line as far as I can tell. I do have some Ethells I've traced to England, but I can't make a firm connection until I do further research.
I have lots of documentation from the Balch library in Loudoun County, VA, and I'll be adding this (including scans of original wills, etc.) as I have time. I've also ordered the new Family Tree software and will revamp the Ethell tree at
www.ethell.com/tree/index.htm shortly.
Warm regards,
Jennie (Ethell) Chancey
