Would like more information on WILLIAM ESSEN, b. in Germany abt. 1825. His wife was CAROLINE (maiden name unknown) b.in Scotland abt. 1839. Children of this union, all born in PA were: 1. CLARA ESSEN, b. abt. 1856; 2. WILLIAM B. (Middle initial has also been seen as J & G; I am not sure that they are the one and the same person, and that they are connected with this family. This is my problem) ESSEN, b. abt. 1857; 3. EDITH ESSEN, b. abt. 1865; BERTINIA ESSEN, b. abt. 1865; & DELLA ESSEN, b. abt. 1868. WILLIAM ESSEN, at some point in his life, moved his family to Cape May County, NJ. He was a baker, his bakery being on Washington Street in the City of Cape May; and they also lived in the City of Cape May. His daughter, CLARA was a Confectioner, and WILLIAM B., his son, was a Book Keeper; this was according to an 1880 Cape May Co., NJ Census Record. Both WILLIAM & CAROLINE ESSEN are buried in the Cold Spring Cemetery, Cold Spring, Cape May Co., NJ.

I am trying to see if WILLIAM B. ESSEN, mentioned above, is the same WILLIAM J. or WILLIAM G. ESSEN (I believe it should be the letter "G") that is in our line. Their birthdate years are similar on all three. The spouse of WILLIAM J. or G. ESSEN, b. abt 1856 is TRYPHENA (CROWELL) ESSEN, b. in NJ abt. 1865. Any connection to this ESSEN line, who could straighten these three William's initials out for me?
