CANFIELD – A Mass of Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Maron Church in Youngstown on Monday at 10 a.m. by Chorbishop Michael Kail for Margie T. Layshock, 87, who passed away peacefully, Friday afternoon,, Oct 10, 2014 at her home.
Margie was born Feb. 9, 1927, in Youngstown, Ohio (Mahoning County) a daughter of Abraham and Camille Essad.
She attended The Rayen School, Youngstown, Ohio and started working at her father’s dry cleaning business, Herman’s Dry Cleaning, on Mahoning Avenue.
For the past 47 years, she owned Margie’s Golden Needle.
She was loved by everyone and put a smile on everyone’s face she met.
Her husband, Leonard T. Layshock, passed away Sept. 12, 2008.
She leaves to cherish her memory, two brothers, Mike (Cathy Suzany) Essad of Youngstown, OH and Eddy Essad of Youngstown; three nephews, Robert Casanta of Revere, Mass., Bill Casanta of Melbourne, Fla., and Ron Casanta of Naples, Fla.; two nieces, Bonnie Kijoski of Oviedo, Fla., and Cammie Lynch of Fort Myers, Fla.
Besides her husband, Margie was preceded in death by a sister, Isabelle Casanta; and two brothers, Kelly and Albert Essad.
