Paula Carmen Espinosa, born November 29, 1942 in Del Norte, Colorado, died in Las Vegas, New Mexico on July 5, 1998 following a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tobais J. Espinosa and is survived by her brother, Leonard G. Espinosa and wife Pamela of Albuquerque and; nephews Dean Espinosa of Corbett, Oregon and Doug Espinosa of Boulder. Colorado. Paula graduated from Sandia High School in 1960 and attended the University of New Mexico and Draughn's Business College. She waged a brave and courageous fight with mental illness her entire adult life, but always maintained a keen sense of humor and possessed a hearty laugh which brightened many a person's day. Although Paula has few friends, she never met a stranger. The family wishes to publicly acknowledge and thank the nurses and doctors at Northeastern Regional Hospital in Las Vegas, New Mexico who provided such loving care to Paula during her last illness.
