Hi Berni
Apparently your family is a different line of Esau as my grandmother, Anna Esau's maiden name was Dalke and her mother's name was Suckau. If there is a connection it is back many generations.I understand my family originally came from the Netherlands, then migrated to Prussia and from there to Russia, I think in about 1804. My father came to the US in 1884 at the age of 6. They settled in Hamilton county Nebraska.

My 5x great grandparents came from Holland
they then in 1546 because of religious persecutions
lived in Germany
When persecutions flared up again in 1671 they moved to
Poland
Then in 1786 - 1789 they emigrated to Russia
My 5x great grandfather was Heinrich Esau born 1740
in Heuboden, Free State, West Prussia
May 30, 1874 the Esau's left to emgrate to America
Arriving August 1, 1874 in Manitoba Canada.

Hi,
My family also originated in Holland, but I haven't been to go back beyond my Grandfather.
My ancesters also moved to Prussia and from what I can find did not go to Russia until 1804. My Grandfather waas born in Russia in 1843, He married Anna Dalke, who was also born in Russia in 1848. She was the daughter of Ludwig Dalke and Amalia Vogt. They lived in the Molochna Colony, and the village of Fuestenau, later moving to Alexderwahl. They came to Nebraska in 1884 aboard the Oder.
