CHAMPLAIN — David S. Ero, 63, of Champlain died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2000, at his home.
He was born April 24, 1937, the son of Albert and Edith Ero.
David served in the U.S. Army from 1960 until 1966. He was a truck driver for Anchor Motor Freight as well as A and D Transport in Champlain.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 767 and the Local 648 Teamsters Union.
He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Stephens D. and Stephanie Ero of Chazy, Luke M. and Leslie Ero of Champlain; three daughters and a son-in-law, Rebecca A. Ero of Champlain, Thomas and Hollie L. Ackerman of Canastota and Crystal Ero of Champlain; two brothers and sister-in-law, Paul and Connie Ero of Ellenburg Center, James and Loretta Ero of Ellenburg Depot; three sisters, Jessie Boutah and her companion Vincent Mitchell of Alburg, Vt., Mildred Pearo of Pittsfield, Vt., and Mabel LaTourneau of Rutland, Vt.; ten grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and several brothers and sisters-in-law.
Calling hours will be today, Jan. 1, 2001 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Clark Funeral Home in Champlain. A Mass of Christian burial will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church in Champlain.
