ELLENBURG DEPOT — James A. Ero, 69, died Monday, June 4, 2001, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.
He was born in Isle LaMotte, Vt., on May 24, 1924, the son of Bert Ero and Edith Paro.
He is survived by his wife, the former Loretta Lussier; two stepsons, Cheenis Gay of Mooers Forks and Joseph Gay of Ellenburg Depot; seven stepdaughters, Mary LaBarge of Ellenburg, Marjorie Secore of Connecticut, Kathy Boulerice of Plattsburgh, Lori Secore of Brainardsville, Shirley Savage of Mooers Forks, Susan LaPlante of Havelock and Sharon LaBarge of Ellenburg Depot; a brother, Paul Ero of Ellenburg Center, and three sisters, Mabel Latourneau, Jesse Bourgiose and Millie Paro, all of Vermont.
Visitation will be Thursday June 7, 2001, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the E.F. Drown Funeral Service in Ellenburg Depot. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11 a.m. from St. Edmund's Church in Ellenburg. Burial will follow in Holy Angels Cemetery in Altona.
