Erna W. Erichsen, 89, Kewaunee died Tuesday, May 29, 2007, at the Kewaunee Care Center.
She was born Jan. 21, 1918, in West Kewaunee to the late William and Anna (Kuehl) Hoffman.
She married Alvin Erichsen July 16, 1939. Together they farmed all of their lives in the town of Carlton. She was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband, Alvin; two sons and one daughter-in-law, William and Phyllis Erichsen and Eugene Erichsen, both of Kewaunee; one daughter, Betty Williams, Beecher, Ill.; five grandchildren, Sherry (Tom) Toseland, Bruce Erichsen, Janine Dury, Kristine Erichsen and Ben (Jenny) Williams; three great-grandchildren, Brad and Brett Toseland and Austin Williams; one brother-in-law, Duane Schmidt; and one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Marian and Roland Tess.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday at Buchanan Funeral Home, Kewaunee. Visitation continues at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Carlton from 10 a.m. Saturday until time of services. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 2, at the church with Rev. Robert Romberg officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
The family would like to thank Dr. Tom Zenner and the staff of the Kewaunee Care Center for the care that they gave Erna in her last illness.
